Data Deletion Instructions

How to remove a connected platform or delete your BabbitAI data entirely.

BabbitAI lets you disconnect a social platform yourself at any time, or request full deletion of your account and all associated data. This page covers both, including for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok connections made via OAuth.

1. Disconnect a single platform (self-service, instant)

To revoke BabbitAI's access to a specific platform (e.g. Instagram) without deleting your whole account:

  1. Log in to BabbitAI and go to Profile.
  2. Under Connected platforms, find the platform tile showing "Connected".
  3. Tap the tile and confirm Disconnect.

This immediately deletes the stored OAuth access token, refresh token, and platform account ID for that connection from our database. BabbitAI can no longer read from or post to that account after this step.

You can also revoke access directly from the platform's own side — e.g. on Instagram: Settings → Apps and Websites → BabbitAI → Remove.

2. Delete your entire BabbitAI account and data

To permanently delete your account, your voice profiles, generated Babbits, connected-platform tokens, and all other personal data we hold:

  1. Email privacy@babbitai.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account".
  2. We will confirm your identity and process the request.
  3. All account data, including connected-platform tokens, is deleted within 30 days. Payment records are retained separately for 7 years for tax/legal purposes, as required by law (see our Privacy Policy).

3. What gets deleted

  • Account profile (name, email, settings)
  • Voice profiles and writing samples used to train them
  • Generated Babbits (post history)
  • OAuth access/refresh tokens for LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Any cached media uploads
